Translates and reviews translations of Agency replies to the UNRWA Dispute Tribunal (DT) including motion materials, and related documents from Arabic into English and vice-versa for the Department of Legal Affairs. Drafts, as requested by supervisor, materials in English and Arabic related to the administration of justice system. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

• Advanced university degree from an accredited educational institution in English or related field. – Relevant qualifications in translation and interpretation.

Work Experience

• Advanced university degree from an accredited educational institution in English or related field is required. – Relevant qualifications in translation and interpretation is required. – At least seven years of experience in translation and interpretation work from Arabic into English and vice-versa is required. – Dedication to the aims and policies of the Agency and the United Nations is desirable. – Familiarity with legal terminology, especially labour and employment law matters is desirable. – Knowledge of Middle East contemporary affairs is desirable. – Are you currently residing in Duty stations.
