Responsibilities:
Within assigned authority and as member of the SDP Team, the incumbent will work on tasks which entail the following specific duties: ? Perform a wide range of office support and administrative functions. ? Assist in providing software and office equipment support. ? Provide guidance to users on office processes and procedures, computer applications, etc. ? Assist in the local and remote deployment of Windows OS updates and patches for the operating system to end user desktop PCs. ? Perform tasks related to scheduled service requests, including equipment replacement, equipment installation/de-installation, software installation, LAN connection, returns to stock, site surveys, etc. ? Perform 2nd level desktop troubleshooting in conjunction with the Help Desk. ? Deploy the installed PCs and productivity devices to end user desks. ? Backup and restore user specific data. ? Assist with Multimedia conferencing setup and support including for high level management meetings and events. ? Support video conferencing and other standard web-based platforms (like Webex, Teams, Zoom, Interprefy, etc). ? Assist with the update and maintenance of our Multimedia conferencing equipment. ? Answer end user questions about new features of the newly deployed office tools. ? Provide support for inventory-related and conference tasks. ? Assist with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making. ? Assist with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures. ? May be required to lift, move, mount, or store equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, or up to 80 pieces of equipment on a daily basis. ? May be required to work on shift assignments on weekdays to maintain the service coverage from 08:00 to 18:00. Occasionally, on average once a month, the incumbent may be required to work ad-hoc assignments during evenings or early mornings of working days as well as holidays and weekends. ? Perform other work-related duties as may be required.

Work Experience
A minimum of three years of work experience in administrative and office support functions preferably in a large organization is required. The minimum number of years of relevant experience is reduced to one for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher Experience in general office automation software, local area networks, Microsoft 365 and Lotus Notes functionality is required. Work experience in delivering PC/laptop support tier 2 services is required Work experience in providing conference support is required. Experience within the United Nations Common System or other similar international organization is desirable
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
