JOB SUMMARY

 

This international-level consultancy position is located within the UN Women Department of Management and Administration, Office of the Security and Safety Services and reports to the UN Women Deputy Global Security Advisor.

The role based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and includes official travel to UN Women offices.

 

Requirements:

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Master’s degree in security, Business Administration, Risk Management, Political Science, or a similar field.

A first-level degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

  • Minimum two (2) years of combined work experience in areas of compliance systems and processes, communication and/or administration.
  • Experience in the United Nations Security Management System.
  • Experience in review and design of online compliance systems.

  • Fluency in oral and written English is required; additional languages are an asset.

Responsibilities:

Deliverables and Activities

  • Collaborate closely with the vendor throughout the development phase to ensure all project requirements are thoroughly met.

Facilitate and participate in meetings with all relevant stakeholders to guarantee clear communication and alignment on project goals and progress.

Coordinate closely with the UN Women IST Team throughout the process.

  • Perform comprehensive testing of the new platform to confirm it meets all the needs and specifications of UN Women Security and Safety Services. This includes functionality, usability, and performance testing to ensure the platform is reliable and effective.
  • Assist Security Specialists on missions to evaluate office compliance through the new SSCS and Security Monitoring Hub.

 

Provide on-site support during these evaluations to ensure all security measures are thoroughly assessed.

Document the findings of these evaluations, offering recommendations for enhancing office compliance.

  • Develop and deliver training sessions to be delivered remotely, on-site and an online self-paced modular package to ensure personnel are adequately educated on the new Security and Safety Compliance System. These sessions will ensure that personnel understand their responsibilities for office compliance and can use the new system with confidence.
  • Offer ongoing support and assistance to offices as they transition to the new system.

Address any questions or issues that arise to ensure a smooth and efficient transition process.

  • Carefully review and develop all training materials and manuals related to the Security and Safety Compliance System.

 

Ensure these documents are accurate, clear, and provide thorough instructions for users.

  • Collaborate with the vendor to produce a video that effectively communicates the system’s features and benefits.
  • Regularly update the Security and Safety Compliance System intranet page with the latest information, resources, and materials. Ensure the page remains a valuable and up-to-date resource for all users.
  • Assist with delivery of the training packages, such as ‘Communicating for Meaning’, the UNSMS Women’s Security Awareness Training (WSAT) sessions, etc.

  • Support global rollout of Everbridge integration with eTA and provide support to UN Women office locations during transition.

 

Assist offices when they face issues with Everbridge.

  • Perform any other assigned task related to this project.
