JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Within delegated authority, the Head Nurse will be responsible for the following duties: • Prepare user requirements and other functional specifications. • Design and implement simple enhancements and new functionalities under the project manager’s guidance. • Act as the process owner for the clinical modules of the EarthMed suite, including defining workflows, data capture and reporting needs in conjunction with each organization’s business representatives. • Conduct audits on EarthMed use compliance as directed by the project manager with the support of each organization’s business representative. • Co-chair working groups as defined by the EarthMed Governance Group to support the achievement of meaningful use of EarthMed. Assist the project manager by: • Execute expansion plans of EarthMed to T/PCC facilities, as defined by the project manager.
• Execute expansion plans of telemedicine functionalities to T/PCC facilities, as defined by the project manager. Act as the training supervisor by: • Maintain training plans for the EarthMed suite users, including analysis of all potential different roles and determining the training needs for each role. • Develop and maintain the EarthMed suite functional user guides, in consultation with process, business, and technical owners. • Develop and maintain e-learning programs for EarthMed users, in collaboration with Capacity Development and Operational Training Service (CDOTS) of the Department of Operational Support (DOS). • Plan and supervise regular webinars on new functionalities and updates for the EarthMed suite. • Conduct on-site training during EarthMed implementation sessions of new health centres or as required. Supervisory Duties: • Supervise work of consultant medical training assistants to ensure compliance with the use of the system.

Education
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree, or equivalent) in Nursing or related fields is required. A first-level degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in the specified fields of studies with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Job – Specific Qualification
A National registration and license are required.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in nursing is required A minimum of two years of experience in the use of medical/EMR systems is required A minimum of two years of experience conducting training sessions on medical-related subjects and/or electronic medical records systems is required A minimum of one year of experience in medical/electronic medical records systems analysis, design and implementation is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position(s) advertised, fluency in both English and French is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
