The project’s activities in Himachal Pradesh focus on supporting the farmers, state government, and other stakeholders in strengthening the apple value chain by introducing climate-smart innovations that can be implemented together as innovation bundles to promote the diversification of farmer’s income and support the resilience of farmers when faced with extreme climatic events. Since the project is in its final year of implementation, it requires a German and English speaking intern that supports the team in the areas of communication, storytelling and knowledge continuity.

• Develop storytelling formats (such as case studies, testimonials, video clips, profiles, blog posts, newsletters, or series) that showcase project news, events, or achievements and the impact of sustainable practices on local communities and ecosystems in line with GIZ communication policy.
• Assist in coordinating in-person and virtual events, webinars, or virtual conferences.
• Proofread and edit content for clarity, grammar, and style consistency.
• Conduct interviews with team members or stakeholders to gather content for articles or features.
• Compile photo galleries or slideshows for events, product launches, or behind-the-scenes moments.
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and storyboard visual storytelling concepts.
• Analyze project monitoring, technical documents, and case studies to identify success stories that can be used in communications and storytelling efforts and develop knowledge products.
• Attending virtual or in-person events related to sustainable agriculture to network and gather content for storytelling purposes.
• Identify partner platforms and events where project success stories can be showcased.

• Studies in the field of Communication, Journalism, English, Media Studies, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proficiency in storytelling techniques, including narrative structure and engaging and creative content creation.
• Reliable oral and written communication in German and English.
• You are motivated, a team player and flexible; you are enthusiastic and work independently and structured.
• Experience abroad in developing countries is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
• Interest in our relevant topics (agriculture, agricultural trade, value chains, development cooperation) and basic knowledge of the relevant actors in international cooperation are desirable.

Die monatliche Praktikantenvergütung beträgt €2.134,52 (brutto). Entsprechend des Einsatzlandes wird eine zusätzliche monatliche Auslandszulage (brutto), in einer seitens der GIZ festgelegten Höhe, der Praktikantenvergütung hinzugerechnet.
