JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

An intern will work closely with program team and SBC team of EPIC to perform entrylevel professional duties to assist the team in providing technical support to government partners and CBOs partners. Duties may include engaging with young key populations (KPin HIV/AIDS prevention and social behavioral change work; assist in designing HIVrelated communication materials; accompanying professionallevel employees on assignments; contacting other departments or outside agencies by phone to request or give information and other related duties as assigned. This internship will offer practical experience and broad exposure to the organization’s behavior change communication work. Specific activities vary by assignment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CONTRIBUTIONS:

  • Engage with young key populations (KPin HIV/AIDS prevention and social behavioral change work.
  • Assist in designing and developing content and HIVrelated communication materials
  • Develop and implement community outreach programs tailored to the needs of KPs.
  • Organize and manage community events, workshops, and meetings to promote engagement and participation.
  • Communicate regularly with community members to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Represent the organization at community events and meetings.
  • Develop marketing materials and campaigns to promote community initiatives.
  • Use social media and other digital platforms to engage with the community.
  • Provide support to young KPs, people living with HIV (PLHIand advocate for their rights.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

  • National Local Temporary

SUPERVISORY AND BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY

  • Has no supervisory responsibility.
  • Contributes to business and departmental functions to achieve goals and acquire work experience.
  • Receives general instructions on assignments and work is reviewed for accuracy and completion.
  • Reports to HIV Prevention Technical Advisor.

QUALIFICATION:

Associated Degree or International Equivalent

  • Relevant computer software skills (including, at a minimum, the standard applications in MS Office using social media and other digital platform
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English and Khmer fluently.
  • Knowledge or experience in digital marketing and/or social media.
  • Knowledge on videography and multimedia skills is a plus.
  • Preferably a member of the LGBTQI+ community

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of college experience.
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate clearly and positively with clients and staff.
  • Understanding of community issues, particularly those affecting KPs (MSM and T.
  • Experience in community engagement or a similar role is a plus.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Up to 20% in country

Works in a typical office setting with occasional field travel to project sites and partner offices.
