Result of Service
An inception report with a proposed work plan and methodology will include the following: a. Document outlining the specific training needs of youthled CSOs and Networks. b. Comprehensive training curriculum and resource materials tailored to identified needs. c. Successful delivery of training sessions to youthled CSOs and Networks in Lofa and Montserrado counties. d. Report of each training with sessions delivered, methodology used, discussions conducted and recommendations with contact list of the participants in annex. e. Established peer support networks and mentoring programs for ongoing capacity building. f. Detailed report on the training’s effectiveness, including feedback and impact assessment. g. Final report summarizing the training activities, outcomes, and a formulated intervention and sustainability strategy and debriefing Session.

Duties and Responsibilities
The National Consultant will work under the overall supervision of the Country Representative of OHCHR and the direct guidance from the designated program led to perform the assigned tasks. The National Consultant will conduct a field trip to targeted counties (Lofa and Montserradto conduct a comprehensive assessment of the training needs of youthled CSOs and Networks and identify key areas requiring capacity building in public speaking, advocacy, and training facilitation and the use of social media for civic space and human rights campaigns. The National Consultant will develop a detailed training curriculum tailored to the needs identified in the assessment and prepare training materials and resources that are culturally and contextually appropriate. The National Consultant will conduct training sessions for youthled CSOs and Networks in the targeted counties on facilitation and public speaking utilizing participatory and interactive training methodologies to ensure active engagement and learning. The National Consultant will provide additional support and mentoring to participants posttraining to reinforce skills and knowledge acquired and facilitate the creation of peer support networks among trainees for ongoing collaboration and support. The National Consultant will collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to measure impact and identify areas for improvement. The National Consultant will conducted two posttraining assessments at the 6th month and the 12th month, respectively. The National Consultant will produce a comprehensive report detailing the training process, outcomes, and recommendations; and formulate an intervention and sustainability strategy to ensure the longterm impact of the training activities and sustainability of the project.
Qualifications/special skills
At least 10 years of professional experience in working with youth, training, public speaking and advocacy or other closely related issues including legal, human rights, etc. A media practitioner specialized in cases of public speaking. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Liberia’s social system. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoinand internetbased (researc. Excellent report writing skills; good oral and written communication skills; ability to work closely with public, nongovernmental, international and civil society organizations. Must have strong organizational (interpersonaand communication skills make decisions on time. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to analyze data for decision making; and the ability to gain others’ support for ideas, proposals and solutions and get others to take action to advance work objectives. Must maintain high ethical/ professional standards and integrity.
Languages
Standard Text: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
Additional Information
Inception report: A detailed report that outlines the methodology, approach, and work plan for the mapping exercise. It should include timelines, key milestones, a stakeholder engagement plan and draft questionnaire to conduct the required assessment. (20%). A detailed report: A comprehensive document that maps all relevant laws, regulations, and policies in Liberia to provide a thorough understanding of the existing legal/policy framework governing young people in appliance with international law. (40%). Presentation of findings at a workshop for key stakeholders (government officials, labor unions, NGOs etthat outlines the findings and recommendations and a final detailed report that incorporates observations from the workshop that includes all findings, analyses, and recommendations. This should combine the labor law mapping, gap analysis, stakeholder mapping and stakeholder feedback, and policy recommendations into one document. (40%).
