BACKGROUND
Purpose of Activity/ Assignment:
Well organized and up to date intranet sites are critical to the work of the Division of Data, Analytics, Planning and Monitoring (DAPto communicate clearly, and provide comprehensive information about the Division’s work to its clients across the organization and to foster effective collaboration and information sharing within the Division.
The DAPM communication site is the main site which explains who DAPM is, how we are structured and what we do. It also includes links to all major initiatives, products, platforms, and thematic sites managed by the Division including key programmatic policies, procedures and guidance that are required by the whole organization.
The DAPM collaboration site is an internal site reserved only for DAPM staff and consultants. I. The collaboration site is used for documents under development by the Division that are not finalized, allowing people to collaborate in developing and finalizing them. The collaboration site is also used for documents internal to DAPM that are not for wider sharing (such as internal administrative issue.
DAPM is seeking a consultant who is familiar with UNICEF and SharePoint site development and management to carry out redesign of the existing sites together with a plan and training for its longer term maintenance.,
Scope of Work:
Based on agreed DAPM intranet sites governance framework, the consultant will carry out the following tasks:

Consultation with key DAPM stakeholders using a participatory approach
Develop a proposal for a refresh of the DAPM communication site including improvements to site design and content organization
Present the proposal for improvements and secure signoff from Senior Management – By 20 December 2024
. Collaborate with DAPM content managers
Site refresh completed including making high level changes to the site, working with focal points to develop and upload content needed for the refresh and agreeing on team roles and responsibilities for regular site updating.
By 28 February 2025
Review and make recommendations for improvements to the DAPM collaboration site in terms of site organization,
Documented content management and roles and responsibilities for regularly updating the site, as well as recommendations around effective use of collaboration sites within the Division – By 30 May 2025
Develop short training guide and webinar tutorial
Develop and deliver a webinar tutorial giving an overview of DAPM intranet governance and how to manage content on DAPM’s communication and collaboration sites.
Supporting guidance and training materials which can be used by the Division after the consultancy has concluded – By18 July 2025

Education: Bachelors
Preferably Knowledge Management, Information Management, Information Technology, Library Sciences, Communication or related fields

Any emergent / unforeseen duty travel and related expenses will be covered by UNICEF.
At the time the contract is awarded, the selected candidate must have in place current health insurance coverage.
Payment of professional fees will be based on submission of agreed satisfactory deliverables. UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment in case the deliverables submitted are not up to the required standard or in case of delays in submitting the deliverables on the part of the consultant.
U.S. Visa information:
With the exception of the US Citizens, G4 Visa and Green Card holders, should the selected candidate and his/her household members reside in the United States under a different visa, the consultant and his/her household members are required to change their visa status to G4, and the consultant’s household members (spouswill require an Employment Authorization Card (EAto be able to work, even if he/she was authorized to work under the visa held prior to switching to G

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants. Consultants are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicabland health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fullyvaccinated status against SARSCoV2 (Covid19) with a World Health Organization (WHendorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
