JOB TITLE: Business Support Associate – Partnerships
TYPE OF CONTRACT: FT/ G6
UNIT/DIVISION: Partnerships
DUTY STATION (City, Country): Cairo, Egypt
DURATION: 1 year extendable

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

To provide effective specialized support and technical analyses to policy and programme activities that effectively meet food assistance needs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the area of partnerships.
2. Liaise with counterparts from the host Government, Government donors and private sector and support effective collaboration.
3. Ensure and/or perform accurate, timely recording of data and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
4. Coordinate and communicate with partners from various sectors to ensure effective collaboration.
5. Act as a point of contact for the resolution of a range of operational queries and problems Specifically, from partners.
6. Provide practical advice and guidance, to contribute to delivering objectives to agreed standards and deadlines.
7. Prepare and/or consolidate comprehensive reports, documentation, correspondence, briefing notes, etc., and conduct research in the area of work.
8. Respond to complex business support queries in order to provide a timely and accurate resolution of inquiries for partners.
9. Oversee the maintenance of records and databases to ensure information is organized and readily available and compliant with all relevant regulations and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business Administration, accounting, International Relations, or any relevant field of study is desirable

Experience: At least 6 years of work experience in a programme, fund, or agency of the United Nations in the areas of resource mobilization, external relations, partnerships, communications, public Information or Programme support

Language: Fluency in both oral and written Arabic & English.
