Program Overview:

Implemented by the IRC, the Cultural Orientation Resource Exchange (CORE) is a technical assistance program that connects and supports refugee resettlement staff globally to deliver effective Cultural Orientation which helps newcomers achieve self-sufficiency in the United States. Settle In, available in multiple languages, is CORE’s digital information service that directly engages newcomers through its website (https://www.SettleInUS.org), mobile app, and social media platforms. Settle In serves as another touchpoint to disseminate vital, accurate information tied to resettlement services.

Job Overview:

The Digital Product Manager will report to CORE’s Digital Product Officer and support contributions to the growth and strategic effectiveness of the CORE website, Settle In website, and Settle In mobile app while supporting day-to-day operations. The Digital Product Manager will manage content on CORE’s digital platforms using Drupal, WordPress, and Phrase TMS (translation management system), which includes building pages, uploading content and translations, and supporting product improvements in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. This role also oversees project management and communications with vendors that support maintenance and development of CORE’s digital products.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage content on the CORE website, the Settle In website, and the Settle In mobile app using content management systems (WordPress/Drupal), translation management systems (Phrase), and other relevant software;
  • Manage maintenance vendors for the Settle In website, Settle In mobile app, and CORE website, and coordinate across IRC and external teams (e.g., Phrase TMS, Semrush, Hotjar) to ensure products are fully operational and bug-free;
  • Develop project plans and coordinate among internal teams and external vendors to monitor project progress, resolve issues, and implement improvements;
  • Conduct quality assurance of CORE’s digital platforms on an ongoing basis, including when uploading new content or during other related updates;
  • Support the Digital Product Officer in developing and implementing the product vision and roadmap of CORE’s digital products based on their impact on business goals and user needs;
  • With support from the Digital Officer and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, assist with implementing user testing, user feedback initiatives, and other assessments of CORE digital platforms to ensure frequent and actionable user feedback is incorporated into product decisions;
  • With support from the Digital Product Officer and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, evaluate digital analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase, Hotjar, Semrush), analyze findings, and make recommendations to increase awareness, use, and engagement of CORE’s digital resources;
  • Collaborate across internal teams to ensure maximum visibility and integration of all new CORE resources;
  • As needed, support development of product management guidelines, frameworks, SoPs, and best practices;
  • Represent CORE at meetings, internal and external workshops and conferences, and other events, as needed;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, library science, multimedia journalism, communications, or a related field required;
  • Minimum 2-3 years progressive work experience;
  • Experience with WordPress/Drupal website content management required, preference for experience managing large, complex websites in multiple languages;
  • Experience working with designers and developers, with proven ability to understand and communicate product needs and requirements between non-technical and technical collaborators;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners from diverse backgrounds and experiences;
  • Solid project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, coordinate multiple stakeholders, set priorities, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines;
  • Detail orientated and self-directed;
  • Solid computer skills: facility with Microsoft Office, email/internet, and project management software (e.g., Monday.com);
  • Strong commitment to social service or humanitarian assistance programs and willingness to adhere to IRC’s code of conduct;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the US Refugee Admissions Program and Cultural Orientation programs preferred;
  • The ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
