Milestone 3 –Construction work starts.
Monitoring in coordination with the Project Management & Construction Supervision Monitor that the works are carried out according to the contract document and in compliance with UNICEF agreed-upon international standards. In collaboration with the Supervision Contractor firm: Inception report -Evaluate and approve the Works Contractor’s resource-based work program, method statements, material sources, performance guarantees, all licenses acquired. Revise Milestones for the Contractor where there are delays. Quality Control report – Review and approve the quality control activities of the contractor. Manage Variations. Documents and get approval where required. Review Monthly progress reports from the Design Firm – Organize construction meetings with the contractors to agree arrangements for future work. Regularly monitor physical and financial progress and take appropriate action to expedite the progress of work. Monthly Progress Report – Inspect the works under construction and works to verify compliance with the design drawings, specifications and agreed construction methods. Use the report as a basis for certifying work for payment. Survey and measure the work output performed by the contractor. Verify statements submitted by the contractor and issue certification for works done. Approve staged payment to the third-party supervision firm. Maintain accurate records and measurements throughout the duration of the construction. Review all intention to claim, and claims submitted and recommend variations as necessary during the progress of work |
