This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days/month in the office. You can be based in our office in The Hague, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Mumbai, New Delhi. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position.

 

About the Program:

 

WRI’s Operations department strives to make all global offices fully capable and low risk, enhancing their operational capabilities, establishing sustainable growth through a bond of mutual respect, collaboration and sharing knowledge across the sisterhood of WRI offices. This is done by targeting upon standards of performance, measuring the efficiency and effectiveness for the sisterhood of offices.

 

The Centre of Excellence in the global HR team drive the design and development of HR practices and process by applying HR functional domain knowledge and market trends to deliver thought leadership. CoEs service all staff members throughout WRI’s global network.

 

Job Highlight:

 

Reporting to the Global Director- Compensation& Benefits you will provide direct support in global projects in Compensation, Benefits and Analytics team. This includes supporting the design, implementation, and delivery of compensation programs that are competitive, aligned with WRI HR strategy, and compliant with global regulations. This position will support implementation of any new projects under the C&B and Analytics CoE.

 

This role requires a good technical knowledge of benchmarking, salary scale design, managing merit review cycles, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 

This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical and data interpretation skills, and a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment, particularly within non-profit sector.

 

What will you do:

 

Compensation and Benefits Framework Implementation (40%):

 

  • Support the implementation of the Global C&B framework by ensuring consistent understanding of the framework across offices
  • Analyse and interpret compensation data to support decision-making and design and review of salary scale design
  • Support the detailed market benchmarking and job evaluations, providing insights on practices across different geographies
  • Create and manage compensation reports for leadership and HR lead, providing data-driven recommendations on compensation strategy and alignment with business objectives
  • Support the WORKDAY implementation related to compensation and benefits team

 

Talent Management Support (20%):

 

  • Collaborate with the Talent management CoE for implementating of the Annual Merit Review and the Global Promotion process
  • Play a key role in the annual merit review process which is a centralised function for data analysis for all country offices
  • Provide data and scenario analysis to inform pay decisions, ensuring they are aligned with market conditions and internal policies.

 

Market Research & Benchmarking (15%):

 

  • Engage in salary surveys, analyzing market trends and supporting country office HR teams in understanding survey reports
  • Review industry trends and regulatory changes to inform and adjust compensation practices
  • Provide market intelligence and analysis for specific roles and geographies, contributing to the global reward strategy

 

Capacity Building of Country office HR teams (15%):

 

  • Support the Country office HR teams with enhancing their knowledge on Compensation & Benefits and building the total rewards approach
  • Partner with Country office HR leads to think through implementation of an regulatory changes impacting compensation and benefits practices.

 

HR Dashboard (10%):

 

  • Continue the development of the monthly global HR dashboard which is currently done on Power BI
  • Global C&B Project Team Support (5%)
  • Support audits, reporting, and governance reviews related to compensation policies, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide support on C&B projects with other CoEs like L&D, Talen Acquisition etc
  • Participate in the ongoing Workday implementation in the organisation

What will you need:

 

  • Education: You have a completed bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent. Relevant work experience in lieu of degree is accepted
  • Experience: You have a minimum of 5 years of full-time relevant experience in human resources with at least 3 years in a compensation & benefits team working with data analysis benchmarking, salary scale design etc;
  • Previous C&B experience: Good understanding of compensation design and benchmarking with an ability to understand geographical differences.
  • Experience working with Analytical Skills: Conduct complex analysis and provide clear findings and recommendations
  • Effective communication: Clearly explain complex ideas and escalate issues when necessary
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders spread across geographies at all levels of the organization and collaborate with internal teams to deliver
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working with HRIS systems especially WORKDAY is desirable
  • Prior experience of working in a non-profit environment is desirable
  • Languages: Fluent in English
  • Requirements: Existing work authorization is required where this position is based. WRI is unable to authorize visa work authorization

 

Potential Salary: NL: 49K – 58K EUR. If located in another country office, salary will be determined by local market conditions.

 

Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
