The International Energy Agency (IEA) is an intergovernmental organisation committed to advancing security of energy supply, economic growth and environmental sustainability through energy policy co-operation. The IEA operates as an autonomous body within the framework of the OECD. Both the IEA and the OECD seek opportunities to work with an increasing number of non-member countries of growing importance to the world economy. The Agency aims to foster the contribution of the energy sector to economic development and environmental sustainability across the globe.
The IEA seeks an Communications and Digital Editor who is comfortable writing and editing content about complex energy topics for a broad audience, accomplished at conveying key messages and turning around tight copy. S/he will join the Communications and Digital Office (CDO), which is responsible for the IEA’s public communications, press relations, and online presence. CDO’s goals are to spread the IEA’s mission, messages and policy recommendations, and to help the public and global media gain a better understanding of major energy issues and the IEA’s leadership role on energy security and clean energy transitions. It crafts the Agency’s public communications, develops online tools, and handles the IEA’s social media accounts. The Communications & Digital Editor will work with colleagues across different parts of CDO and the IEA as a whole and cultivate awareness of communications good practices.

Depending on level of experience, monthly salary starts at either 7,436.77 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
Please note that the appointment may be made at one grade lower in the specified job family, based on the qualifications and professional experience of the selected applicant.
Selection Process
For retained candidates, written tests/video-recorded interviews are foreseen mid December/early January and panel interviews are planned for late January.
Please note that our Rules and Regulations stipulate that the mandatory retirement age is 67.
