JOB DESCRIPTION

What we are looking for

NRC is looking for a Grants and Partnerships Manager to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will ensure donor compliance across the project portfolio, lead on project revision processes, support grant agreement negotiations, support the fundraising strategy, support growth of the grants portfolio, and support with donor engagement. The Grants Manager will be responsible for the completion of activities under NRC’s project cycle management framework and will oversee the management and processes of the partnership contract portfolio.

What you will do

  • Strategic Fundraising & Donor Engagement: Leading the development of the fundraising strategy; and maintaining donor relationships.
  • Partnerships: Building and strengthening networks; collaborating with the partnership focal point; development of partnership and localization approaches; and development and improvement of partnership tools, systems and capacity building of local partners.
  • Consortia: Strategic engagement in consortia; and development and strengthening of consortium governance structures.
  • Remote Management: Support the implementation of remote management systems and tools.
  • Risk Management: Leading due diligence processes relating to grant agreements and partnerships; providing technical support, training, and capacity building on donor compliance issues; and supporting external donor audits.
  • Coordination & Representation: Engaging in networking, information gathering, and context analysis; and engaging in grants and partnerships initiatives.
  • Budget Development: Support with the review of budgets for funding opportunities, ensuring consistency between budget and other proposal documents, and compatibility with donor requirements.
  • Line Management for direct reporting staff, including performance management, goal setting, workforce planning, recruitment, development, and duty-of-care.

What you will bring

  • Coordinator/Manager experience, in donor relations and grants management, with institutional humanitarian and development donors.
  • Donor rules, regulations, priorities, and compliance requirements understanding.
  • Project cycle management, and report and proposal development expertise.
  • Remote programming and remote team-working exposure.
  • Complex and volatile context exposure, working with displacement affected people.
  • Myanmar, or South / South-East Asia, context exposure and knowledge.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.

What we offer

  • Yangon, Myanmar duty station, subject to receiving appropriate documentation. Currently, international visas and work permits are subject to considerable delays. The successful candidate will be expected to work from home/remotely for extended periods of time.
  • 24-month contract duration.
  • 20% travel, approximately.
  • Grade 9 in NRC’s Salary Scale, with accompanying terms and conditions. NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
