UNODC Vietnam is looking for a qualified Programme Support Consultant (Drugs and Health).
Like other countries in the Southeast Asia Region and Mekong Subregion, Vietnam has been affected by growing drug problems, in part, due to high levels of production and trafficking in the region. Additionally, the country is considered a major trafficking transit point to neighbouring countries and regions. These factors underscore the need for comprehensive measures to address potential challenges associated with drug use and related issues. To help address the challenge, UNODC has been working with government agencies and community-led organizations in Vietnam to introduce and scale up evidence-based drug prevention and treatment services for the most vulnerable populations.
The objective of the assignment is to provide programmatic and administrative support for the Drugs and Health (D&H) Programme of UNODC Vietnam in implementing its activities. The Programme Support consultant will work under the overall oversight of UNODC D&H Programme Manager for Lao PDR and Vietnam based in Vientiane (Laos), and direct supervision of the National D&H Programme Officer (PO) of the UNODC Viet Nam.
Period of assignment/services: 240 working days (from January to December 2025).
