This contract is to lead on developing the social media campaign for World Refugee Day, and to support with training across the organization.

Purpose and Scope of Assignment:
Concise and detailed description of activities, including measurable outputs and delivery dates, impact indicators (what qualitative and quantitative results would be achieved upon completion of individual contract), performance indicators (timelines, value of the service rendered in relation to the cost, timeliness) and work plan:
The contractor will work on the following tasks and deliver the related outputs:
• Develop a social media strategy for World Refugee Day 2025 (WRD) with an engaging, innovative, impactful social media campaign
• Lead on the creative content development for WRD, project management and team coordination
• Develop creative content partnerships for WRD with influential social media accounts and outlets
• Develop and implement an influencer/creator strategy for WRD
• Represent the team in the broader WRD working group and meetings
• Produce social content for the WRD campaign with templates for local adaptation
• Coordinate translations for the WRD social content
• Create the WRD social media package and coordinate dissemination to operations and partners
• Develop the WRD campaign report
• Roll out social media content for the Nansen Award nomination process
• Act as focal point for the advocacy campaigns hub and the fundraising campaigns team
• Provide strategy for other social media campaigns
• Support with training and capacity-building across the organization
• Lead on the Brunch & Learn training programme
• Draft the monthly Social Buzz newsletter
• Support the Social Media Section with other similar projects as needed

CANDIDATE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, SELECTION CRITERIA

Required qualifications, language(s) and work experience:
Degree: Required

Field of expertise, competencies:
Required/mandatory:
• Demonstrated experience in mobilizing and engaging online audiences through integrated digital and social media strategies
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media strategies, digital marketing or editorial for an NGO, UN, advertisement, media, or publishing outlet
• Extensive experience working with and on diverse social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn and WhatsApp Channels
• Demonstrated experience in training and capacity-building
• Excellent writing and visual content production skills
• Great time management skills, and proven ability to work in a highly organized way and meet deadlines efficiently
• A great eye for predicting trends, with the ability to keep up to date on best practices and apply and share that knowledge in strategies and the day-to-day work
• Demonstrated experience working with creators and influencers
• Demonstrated skills and experience in Canva, Trello and social media publishing tools
• Experience in project management
• Personable team player who thrives on working in a diverse team, and spending time every day engaging and building relationships in a digital workspace
• Experience working in a multicultural environment and working with colleagues across different regions and time zones.
• Fluent in English

Desirable:
Experienced social media manager with at least 5 years of experience managing social media accounts and campaigns.
