Generic responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, SOP’s, and donor requirements.
- Regular field visits for logistics compliance spot check and to provide necessary trainings.
- Ensure that transparency and accountability are always met within NRC procurement procedures and within logistic procedures.
- Lead the logistics team in ensuring quality supports to project implementation analysing all logistical supports and data, monitor all support functions and prepare appropriate reports for same.
- Conduct and follow up daily operational logistics activities.
- Support the administration of resources so that deliverables are achieved within set budgets, timelines, and standards.
- Prepare and develop logistic reports as required by Area office and Country Office
- Support in development of SOPs as requested.
- Ensure proper filing of all support documents according to Securing Supporting Documentation (SSD) SOP
- Support line managers with logistics procedures and provide support with trainings related to logistics.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the logistic function.
- Coordinate and implement NRC’s systems and procedures for market analyses.
Specific Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Ensure proper fleet management and vehicle utilization at the Area office, and ensure adherence to the MOVCON SOP
- Filing of all vehicle records and reports, and prepare requisitions for Fuelling, repair & maintenance for vehicles and on need basis.
- Closely monitor fuelling of vehicles and provide monthly fuel analysis and consumption report for payment if requested by the line manager.
- Ensure that vehicles are equipped with necessary documents and equipment.
- Ensure safe and efficient transport of staff and materials/goods.
- Ensure timely reporting of eventualities like accidents and breakdowns.
Asset Management
- Update assets register in compliance with Logistics Handbook by supervising Logistics staff assigned for asset and stock management.
- Ensure all paperwork against each asset item has been updated and placed in the file.
- Liaison with Country office to ensure that the assets have been managed in compliance to rules.
- Reconciliation of Area office assets with asset register and timely reporting in case of any discrepancy or changes required
- Conduct and facilitate physical verification of assets in coordination with Finance department.
Stock Management
- Ensure that the Area Office stock has been managed in compliance to Logistics Handbook and SOP of NRC Mozambique
- Ensure all stock items have been recorded timely and necessary paper works shall be completed against each inward or outward transaction of stock items.
- Ensure each stock item has a stock card which shall be updated against each transaction.
- Generate and share updated stock report of County office at the end of each month and for onward sharing with Finance and Program on need basis.
- Ensure that stock of AO office supplies and stationery and other consumable items like printer toners have been timely replenished and buffer stock has always been maintained keeping in view consumption behavior of each item.
Conduct and facilitate physical verification of stock in coordination with Finance department.
- Competencies
- Minimum 4 years of experience of logistics and supply chain in humanitarian sector

Context related skills, knowledge, and experience (shall be adapted to the specific position):
- Experience from humanitarian sector or other relevant background
- Added value Knowledge in language of Cabo Delgado such as Emacua, Kimuani, Makonde e Suaili
