Mission and objectives

The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme is a joint initiative of UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) SDG AI Lab and UN Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries and supported by the Government of Türkiye. The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme aims to raise a new generation of tech specialists to strengthen local capacities and develop digital solutions for the LDCs (Least Developed Countries) towards achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Furthermore, the initiative will inspire young people as well as promote gender equality, encouraging women to pursue tech education and careers.

Context

As part of the Frontier Tech Leaders Programme, the volunteer will play a key role in advancing the programme’s technical and educational goals by creating high-quality app development content, preparing detailed instructional materials, and delivering engaging webinars. These efforts will aim to empower participants with practical skills and knowledge to design and implement app-based solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Task Description

The Volunteer will be responsible for: App Development Content Creation: Developing technical and educational materials focused on app development practices aligned with SDG-related projects. This includes tutorials, guides, and example projects. Training Resource Development: Preparing comprehensive training materials, including presentations, code samples, and step-by-step instructions to support participants’ learning. Webinar Delivery: Conducting engaging webinars on app development topics, ensuring clear communication of concepts and fostering an interactive learning environment. Collaborative Curriculum Development: Working closely with programme leads to align content with project goals and update materials based on feedback. Content Review and Maintenance: Regularly reviewing and updating existing content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance to the latest technologies and project objectives. Feedback Integration: Collecting and incorporating feedback from participants to enhance training content and delivery.
