WHY JOIN WFP?
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVISION
The current prevalence of malnutrition in children is alarming. Maternal and child undernutrition is the underlying cause of approximately 45% of all mortality in children under 5. Stunting levels remain stubbornly high in many parts of the world, while child overweight is rising at a tremendous pace – even in low-income countries.
As part of the World Food Programme’s (WFP) ongoing efforts to combat malnutrition, CODA has been developed as an innovative digital solution to prevent and manage wasting. To enable the rapid scale-up and decentralisation of CODA, it is crucial to provide targeted support to country offices (COs), empowering them to adopt and utilise the tool independently. This role is key to ensuring that quality assurance testing is conducted rigorously to confirm that product releases to COs meet expectations.
As a key member of the Nutrition Digital Innovation team within the Nutrition and Food Quality Service, reporting directly to the Team Leader, the CODA Quality Assurance Testing Intern will be responsible for supporting development efforts, conducting quality assurance, and most importantly, performing thorough testing and documenting the findings. A primary focus will be to collaborate closely with the Business Analyst to test and accurately translate user requirements.
This is a temporary position, seeking to reinforce the Digital Innovation team during this period of high demand for CODA solution from various Country Offices.
