JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Main Purpose

Under the supervision of Section Head, Networks Management and Partnership Section, Office of Safety and Security Coordination (NSOC), and in coordination with relevant staff in the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security, the consultant will provide relevant skills and share experience and support the coordination of project management work for activities of the Global Nuclear Safety and Security Network (GNSSN) and its associated regional and thematic networks, as well as for the capacity building initiatives and Partnerships and Resource Mobilization (PRM). The Consultant will contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of the project activities.

Functions / Key Results Expected

– Provide project management for the implementation and tracking of the GNSSN and its associated networks’ activities and capacity building initiatives; ensure effective coordination of identified issues and ensure timely follow-up actions.
– Contribute to and facilitate the drafting and review of relevant documents and reports pertinent to the networks’ activities and capacity building initiatives in close liaison with the involved stakeholders.
– Identify opportunities for promotion and develop outreach materials on the sections’ work related to knowledge networks and capacity building initiatives.
– Provide technical expertise for the knowledge networks’ content management.

Qualifications and Experience

University degree in project management, business management, or equivalent.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience preferably in project coordination, information management, communication and outreach, ideally in an international environment.
Good oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an asset.
