International Organization for Migration is hiring a Senior Project Associate (Communication and Partnerships) to
Assist in the planning, organization, and delivery of meetings, workshops and training sessions both in-person and online (e.g., webinars) -for various purposes, including preparing training materials and supporting the facilitation of capacity-building workshops.
Provide inputs for the development of Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs), concept papers, and related to the training coordination, communications, stakeholder engagement, and outreach activities, provide general support for the development of new projects.
Support the development and implementation of communications, awareness-raising, and visibility strategies and related action plans, by drafting content, compiling inputs, and following specific guidance and priorities set by the supervisor.
Contribute to the preparation of media and communication materials by drafting stories, press releases, social media content, key messages, and general text for public information purposes.
Collect, collate, and update project information for publication, including on social media platforms and update the website.
Support the implementation of outreach activities and media campaigns to enhance IOM’s image and increase awareness of IOM activities in Estonia for key events and initiatives, facilitating effective messaging and visibility.
Draft correspondence related to project activities and support the preparation and update of reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, and other forms of documentation.
Assist with the implementation of the IOM Resource Mobilization Strategy in Estonia, by supporting activities in coordination with supervisor and relevant units and maintaining alignment with IOM’s Strategic Plan 2024-2028, Strategic Results Framework (SRF), and the objectives of the Global Compact for Migration.
Monitor work of implementing partners and report any non-compliance to the supervisor.
In coordination with relevant organizational units and programmes, contribute to the development and facilitation of initiatives that deliver IOM thematic expertise to relevant government counterparts through tools, training, and guidance.
Assist in identifying and mapping new public and private sector prospects and support the assessment of existing partnerships and engagement opportunities for scale up in Estonia, under the guidance of the supervisor.
In coordination with the programmatic team, support communication and information exchange with government counterparts and civil society organizations, including the collection, editing, and dissemination of relevant thematic information, and assisting in the organization of coordination meetings, briefings, and follow-up actions.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
EDUCATION
High school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience; or,
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, International Relations, Social Anthropology or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.
Master’s Degree in Journalism, International Relations, Social Anthropology or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience in coordinating and supporting the organization of training sessions on complex topics for cross-cultural audiences, including assisting in the preparation of tailored learning materials that apply adult learning methodologies and facilitate logistical arrangements for delivery in in-person, virtual, or e-learning environments. Experience supporting exchanges, mentorship programs, is an advantage.
Experience in the context of an IOM project is a distinct advantage.
Experience supporting the implementation of training activities on humanitarian, social inclusion and protection topics, including age, gender, and diversity, is a distinct advantage.
Experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government, or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting, is desired.
Experience in public information (PI), public relations (PR), and media communications;
Proven high competency as a writer in English.
Experience in supporting partnership development and liaison activities with government stakeholders, civil society, the private sector, UN partners, and other public sector organizations, with a strong understanding of migration policy and related issues. Demonstrated experience aligning work with the priorities of the Estonian Government, and supporting migration-related projects, donor liaison, and reporting, while maintaining collaborative relationships across sectors.
