Mission and objectives

Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy for inclusive business, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. IICPSD, established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Turkey, is one of UNDP’s six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDP’s global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDP’s offices all over the world. The Center focuses on four thematic areas: 1. Inclusive Business; 2. Private Sector Engagement in Skills Development; 3. Impact investing; 4. Resilience and Crisis Response. The Center also hosts four global initiatives: Business Call to Action, SDG Philanthropy Platform, Global Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Platform and Connecting Business Initiative.

Context

The 2030 Agenda emphasizes the importance of entrepreneurship for achieving inclusive and sustainable development. In line with this, UNDP ICPSD has partnered with the HP Foundation to promote entrepreneurial skills development activities globally. It seeks to enhance existing programmes and projects focused on entrepreneurial and 21st-century skills development by incorporating content from HP LIFE. The Entrepreneurial Skills Development Initiative for the Sustainable Development Goals (E-SDG) encompasses several sub-activities, and these include training of trainers (ToT) in Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish, establishing local trainer networks, developing knowledge products and hosting online youth entrepreneurship bootcamps. The initiative has reached over 30 countries, training more than 500 trainers and collaborating with over 15 partners. It caters to a wide range of stakeholders including International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) etc. Entrepreneurial Skills Development Initiative for the Sustainable Development Goals (E-SDG) is seeking a talented Graphic Designer volunteer to redesign presentations and documents to enhance their visual appeal, impact and effectiveness. This role is crucial in ensuring our materials are professional, engaging, and aligned with the organizational standards.

Task Description

• Create a visually appealing master presentation template for E-SDG. • Improve and redesign presentations for the projects and programmes under this E-SDG initiative. • Enhance the visual layout of presentations to ensure clarity, professionalism, and engagement. • Incorporate visual elements to better communicate key concepts. • Ensure alignment with UNDP’s branding guidelines. • Maintain consistency across materials.
