As IT Service Manager, you will report to the Head of the End-User Service Operations Section in the End-User Services Division, Information Technology Department, Directorate of Internal Services. You will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of centralised operations activities in respect of Microsoft Azure and Office 365, integrating services provided by multiple suppliers and vendors into a single, coherent, end-to-end IT operational service dedicated to end-user support, establishing and maintaining workplace capabilities and related backend infrastructure.

A master’s degree in information technology or in a related domain is required for this post.
You should have general technical experience in managing IT corporate services for personal computing (Windows/macOS) and mobile platforms (Android/iOS), in particular with proven experience and documented certification in ITIL V4 Foundation and service operation and in the administration of the workplace backend infrastructure and tools, such as Intune, SCCM and JAMF, SW/OS packaging and Machine Build Image.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.

According to the ESA Convention, the recruitment of staff must take into account an adequate distribution of posts among nationals of the ESA Member States*. When short-listing for an interview, priority will first be given to internal candidates and secondly to external candidates from under-represented Member States*.
In accordance with the European Space Agency’s security procedures and as part of the selection process, successful candidates will be required to undergo basic screening before appointment conducted by an external background screening service.
In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
