The Innovation and Education (IVE) Programme is a thematic area of UNU-IAS, aiming to promote research and practices on innovative and inclusive education and lifelong learning for sustainable development at all ages. It reinforces evidence-based policy advice to translate global goals into local actions with a close alignment with the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for 2030 Roadmap. One of the main activities is to strengthen the capacity of UNU-IAS global and regional networks, namely the Regional Centres of Expertise on ESD (https://www.rcenetwork.org/portal/ ) and ProSPER.Net (https://prospernet.ias.unu.edu/ ) and collaborate with the networks to facilitate multi-stakeholder partnerships.
The main assignment is to create a new resource website for the Global RCE Network. The assignment entails a review of the current Global RCE Network portal website, designing and developing the new resource website, and migrating certain contents from the current portal site, as necessary. The RCE Network portal website is under the management of UNU-IAS, serving as the Global RCE Service Centre.
Under the general supervision of the UNU-IAS Director and the direct supervision of the Head of the Innovation and Education (IVE) Programme the contractor shall:
1. Review the existing Global RCE Network portal website (https://www.rcenetwork.org/portal/) from the technical perspective through a replica of the site with administrator privilege.
2. Design and develop the new resource website of Global RCE Network in coordination with UNU focal point.
3. Migrate the contents into the new CMS test environment in coordination with the UNU focal point.
4. Produce user guidelines and conduct training.
5. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

The total amount of the fee (maximum) is JPY 2,000,000.

Duration of contract

No consultant will be permitted to provide services for more than twenty-four (24) months within a thirty-six (36) month period.
