The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) is seeking a highly motivated full-time Research Associate with advanced skills in empirical microeconomics of development. The ideal candidate would have at least a master’s degree in economics (preferably a PhD or advanced stage of a PhD). A solid experience analyzing large individual/household-level datasets using quasi-experimental evaluation methods is essential. Demonstrated publications would be a plus. This position also allows the position holder time to do independent research.
Research Associates serve for limited terms as independent contractors in a personal capacity, with an initial 1-year contract and a possible 1-year extension based on performance. The maximum duration of service is 2 years in total. Social insurance is not provided. Research Associates are neither officers nor staff of ADBI and work under the direct supervision of ADBI professional staff and the overall guidance of Vice-Chair of Research.
