The International Food Policy Research Institute [IFPRI] with support from the CGIAR Initiative on NEXUS Gains is completing a series of research activities and outputs for which the institute seeks the support of an individual consultant with the following 2 tasks:
I. NEXUS Gains Initiative Uzbekistan study
Background:
In Uzbekistan, gender equitable climate and agrarian policies are hampered by near absence of gender disaggregated data. There is little evidence on women’s access to assets, agriculture extension, mechanization, and energy. To this end, IFPRI is implementing a study that uses a diagnostic survey, choice experiments, and impact evaluation, to study women’s empowerment and how it relates to access and use over productive resources and assets in agriculture, particularly land, irrigation, and agricultural mechanization. In addition, with support from the CGIAR Gender Impact Platform the study aims to develop understanding of climate change induced shocks and stressors and how these relate to women’s empowerment and energy access.

4. Submission of Final paper considering reviewer comments

II. NEXUS Gains Initiative Energy activity
Background:
Under the CGIAR Initiative on NEXUS Gains, IFPRI has collected data in 3 Asian and 1 African country and wants to finalize a series of outputs. This includes the preparation of 3 policy briefs and the publication of two draft papers.

8. Prepare 2 draft papers for working paper/journal submission
