The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) is an intergovernmental organization that strives to advance marine ecosystem science and provide sustainable use of the seas. As our new part-time IT Support Assistant, you will have the great opportunity to put your knowledge and skills into practice, working closely alongside a team of four other IT team members. From providing in-person support at the office to assisting our global community remotely, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth IT operations.
Responsibilities for this role include:
We will seek to constantly support and inspire you while focusing on your learning and personal growth. Within the IT team, you’ll have lots of opportunity for sparring and skill development. You’ll similarly regularly engage with our wider Secretariat (approximately 75 staff), as well as visiting experts from our 20-member counties and beyond.
You’ll have a lot of flexibility to shape your working schedule around your study program, although in-office presence on Monday mornings would be prioritized.
Qualifications
We’re seeking candidates currently studying master in an IT or business informatics discipline. You need a minimum of 3 years of education in an IT-related or High school diploma in IT or technical engineering field.

This is a paid student role, and the working hours are 15 hours per week. This position will be established with an initial duration of 6 months, with a starting date as soon as possible (preferably in May).
