Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of IT Specialist (AI Forward Deployed Engineer) is assigned to the Digital for Development Operations Division (ITOP) within the Information Technology Department. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to Director, ITOP.

Your Role

As an IT Specialist (AI Forward Deployed Engineer) at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), you’ll be at the forefront of leveraging advanced AI technologies, particularly Large Language Models, to address pressing challenges in collaboration with our stakeholders.

Your role involves applying problem-solving abilities, creativity, and technical expertise to facilitate the integration of Enterprise AI solutions. You’ll be instrumental in crafting innovative products, engaging closely with clients to refine AI solutions iteratively.

You will:

• Collaborate with clients to comprehend their business needs and obstacles
• Design and implement AI applications utilizing cutting-edge machine learning techniques and tools
• Train, validate and deploy AI models in real-world settings
• Diagnose and uphold AI models for optimal performance
• Integrate big data engineering principles and methodologies into AI solutions
• Develop and implement data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, and analysis
• Ensure scalability and performance optimization of AI Products through effective big data architecture design
• Oversee the complete technical lifecycle of products, from conception to rollout
• Communicate proficiently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Remain abreast of the latest advancements in AI technology

Qualifications

You will need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
• Over 8+ years’ experience which includes at least 3 years of hands-on experience in developing AI-driven product
• Proficiency in B2B Enterprise SaaS applications
• Expertise in machine learning and deep learning methodologies
• Prior experience in software application development and deployment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
• Passion for AI and its potential to impact the world.
• Thrives in agile team: has initiative and desire for ownership.

Additional Information

This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of two (2) years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (“Recruitment and Appointment’). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. It may be extended on an exceptional basis for a further fixed period at the option of ADB. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
