Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.
We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected.
Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.
We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.
We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 85 years, and are now active in more than 75 countries.
As the Youth, Movements & Campaigns (YMC) Coordinator you will perform a pivotal role in providing administrative, logistical, financial and overall project support to the team responsible for engaging and connecting people and partners –inside and outside Plan International – and the engine for driving youth voice and engagement in all areas.
You will also work closely with the Global Lead for Campaigns & Mobilisation to support the delivery of Plan International’s global girls’ rights campaign, Girls Get Equal. The campaign champions girls’ voice, power and leadership to achieve gender equality.
We are looking to recruit a proactive individual who has experience in a similar or relevant role, in the charity, NGO or development sectors, or relevant agency or private sector company. With demonstrable experience of project management and implementation support, including budget support and coordination.
To be successful in this role you will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong administration skills, including those in Office 365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Sharepoint). The ability to manage a varied workload effectively whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and output. With a strong commitment to meaningful and inclusive youth participation, feminist campaigning and activism, gender equality, anti-racism and girls’ rights.
